AIA New York is dedicated to designing excellence, public outreach, and professional development. Our objective is to empower architects and design professionals through career advancement.
Waldorf Education offers a time-tested curriculum with a rich blend of academics and arts. The curriculum and methods respond to the needs of the child at each stage of development and promote creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. Offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the liberal arts and sciences which serve as a core for professional programs in the fine and performing arts, education, health care, business, and engineering.

Building and design through LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) the most widely used green building rating system in the world. LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. Our office is Net Zero and LEED Platinum Water and Energy and we are proud to partner with these organizations in an effort for more sustainable living.
(USGBC): Committed to a sustainable, prosperous future through LEED, the leading program for green buildings and communities worldwide. Their mission is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built, and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.
(NESEA): Advances the adoption of sustainable energy practices in the built environment by cultivating a community where practitioners share, collaborate and learn. Helping high-performance building and energy efficiency professionals improve their practices by learning from and networking with one another. Founded in 1975, NESEA is today the region’s leading 501(c)(3) membership organization promoting sustainable energy practices in the built environment.
(PHA-HV): Local Chapter of Passive House Alliance U.S. in the Northeast region. The mission is to contribute positively to a low-carbon future through education, training, and advocacy for the Passive House standard and make it the mainstream standard of building for our future.

Economic Development is essential in the effort to advance the quality of life in the region. Each of the organizations that we partner with fills a niche and all work for the greater good of the community. We pride ourselves on supporting local organizations with a goal toward community development.
(CCA): Founded in 1957 providing quality management coupled with outstanding workmanship. They continually provide services for members, developers, and project owners in the Hudson Valley and the Catskills. Connecting project owners with contractors to fill their needs. They employ local union members through NYS certified apprentice training programs that are OSHA certified. Advocate for and advance industry issues at the state and local level on behalf of members. Work with community organizations to help with projects and fulfill needs.
(DCRCC): An advocate for business, the authoritative informational source on matters affecting business, and the unwavering champion for the region’s economic health. Offering business education, networking, and marketing opportunities. They aim to fulfill the mission of a strong local economy in the Hudson Valley.
D&H CANAL
(D&H CANAL): The mission of the D&H Canal Historical Society is to highlight the importance of the D&H Canal and preserve its stories, landscapes, and artifacts.
The Society accomplishes its mission by:
• Allowing visitors to interact with extant artifacts and structures to give them a tangible sense of historical perspective.
• Providing educational resources for the community by working with school groups, and by offering local residents and visitors tours, hikes, lectures, and books that focus on the Canal’s history and impact.
• Serving the community by developing the Mid-Hudson Regional Visitor Center to share information about the area’s geography, hiking trails, museums, historical sites, and other attractions.
• Promoting greater use of publicly accessible hiking paths that provide access to the extensive extant remains of the Canal throughout its length, and working with other organizations to create a broader trail network.
A 10-acre National Historic Landmark District, visitors experience over 300 years of history across seven historic stone-house museums, a reconstructed 1717 French Church, the Huguenot community’s original burying ground, and a replica Esopus Munsee wigwam. Period rooms and exhibits tell the stories of a French Huguenot settlement as it evolved over time, and also reveal the history of the area’s Native and enslaved African peoples and Dutch settlers. Chartered as an educational corporation by the University of the State of New York. A nationally recognized historic site that will inspire guests to think in new ways about American history while also carrying forward the conversation about the relationship between past and present. Committed to building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
(HVEDC): A comprehensive resource for businesses relocating to (or expanding within) the Hudson Valley, which includes Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, and Sullivan counties. Working closely with development professionals to facilitate projects. Provide market data, workforce, industrial and commercial real estate information relevant to business location decisions. A bridge between the public, academia, government, not-for-profit organizations, and business informing about community needs and enhance economic opportunity in the region.
Taking on the issues people talk about but don’t always want to address. Their work focuses on emerging trends that impact all sectors of the Hudson Valley. Pursue a strategic plan for research as directed by the Pattern Board of Directors. Beyond that, the staff often works under contract to municipalities and other organizations to provide a menu of services that coincide with the mission, including research and demographic analysis, professional training, project support service, grant writing, community development, strategic planning, mediation, and facilitation. Areas of focus include education, housing, government efficiency, infrastructure, land use & SEQRA, and urban issues.
NYSCAR
(NYSCAR): Chartered in 1995 as an organization to provide commercial real estate professionals with education and networking opportunities, NYSCAR prides itself on its ability to “bring commercial real estate practitioners together,” enhancing the ever-growing membership’s success in completing transactions. Serving Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, Rockland, Putnam & Westchester Counties.
Providing services and advocacy on behalf of its membership and the community to advance the region’s economic health and vitality. A conduit for information and resources for members, prospective businesses, and visitors to the region. Their vision is to be the voice and choice of business in the Ulster County region to stimulate and nurture sustainable economic growth.
Ulster Green Economy Network: Sustainable Hudson Valley. Ulster County’s Green New Deal commits the County to ongoing climate action that translates into economic benefits for businesses as well as residents. A major program strategy is UGREEN, the Ulster County Green Economy Network.
